Very cozy and nice place. We had our breakfast there while staying in Barcelona. Service was a bit slow, because of majority of people but all in all quite a nice place

Great location near the Columbus monument and very nicely presented and delicious food. The service was attentive too. Vegetarian options: There are several vegetarian /vegan options. I had avocado.

Good coffee and quick service. This place must be great when construction work that is ongoing next to it is finished. However, for now I need to take some stars.

This is a great place to have breakfast and people watch! The food was delicious and the location based at the bottom of La Ramblas was perfect. Staff were attentive but also left us to take our time and not rush us once we finished our meals. Prices are based on the location and that was absolutely fine by us – we were able to enjoy the view whilst dining! What a great way to start the day in Barcelona!

We loved this breakfast spot in Barcelona! The location is perfect, and the sunny atmosphere really added to the experience. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. In addition, the prices were very reasonable given the portions and quality of the food. Highly recommend!

Visited this place every day for breakfast when I was on vacation. Friendly staff, delicious cuisine and a pleasant atmosphere in the establishment. Very satisfied with the service in this cafe.

We recently enjoyed a 10-night Western Mediterranean Cruise on the MSC Lirica sailing from Alicante (cost £420 each in January).  The third stop was Barcelona and we caught the local shuttle bus for 4.50€ to the bus station opposite the La Rambla (walking the same route would take about 30 minutes).  Whilst waiting for the ‘hop on hop off tourist bus’ we visited La Cava Universal Cafe for hot drinks. We sat outside on the comfortable terrace and our visit was made memorable by a comical heron (Egret) who entertained us. The bird hid every time it saw the waiter and then posed for pictures with tourists once the coast was clear.  The terrace was immaculate and the cafe was located in a busy area of the city.  We received a very warm welcome and our order was taken quickly.  Our drinks arrived promptly and were very reasonably priced. This was a busy cafe with lots of people enjoying croissants and tostadas.

This place has it figured out! The gentleman serving and preparing today were excellent. Fast, efficient and good.

Great bar at the end of la Rambla but not the extortionate prices of the main street. Great beer, great food and great service. Still good for people watching.

Over a 2 week cruise this was hands down the best place to eat Tapas. Absolutely fantastic staff who were very patient with a couple of brits trying to order food. Plate was hot and absolute pleasure to eat. Thank you so much!

We ordered Potato Omelette and Grilled Salmon. Will omelette was very good, the Salmon was amazing. One of the best we had.

True sidewalk cafe bliss. Right across from the seaport and nested next to the beginning (or end) of La Rambla, the outdoor seating was filled to the brim with colorful characters from many countries. If you’d like a nice pastry with espresso and enjoy people watching, give yourself an hour at least to soak up the Barcelona ambiance. We were treated to a gymnastic show in the open plaza in front of La Cava Universal by four street performers of incredible abilities. Bravo…..

Very good! I just had a brunch with my husband, the quantity of the dishes are out of our expectation and the tastes are fine, quality of the meal is not bad, highly recommended.

Grest place to sit and enjoy the Sunday afternoon entertainment in Barcelona. Good food and service.

They have many vegetarian items in the menu. Our waiter was very nice and friendly.

We had our breakfast here one wet morning before we caught the open top bus! The menu was so amazing that between the five of us I think we had one of everything off it! The waiters were very friendly and helpful and the food delicious!!
